How Many Attempt To Lose Weight In January

If you are one of the few who is still in pursuit of your New Year’s resolution then I commend you. First of all how many people attempt to lose weight in January? Well statistically over 80% of americans who set their new years resolution attempt to lose weight as one of their goals.

However the sad thing is that most people who set these goals for themselves will end up quitting before they reach them. By April of the new year almost 65% of the people who have set out to lose weight; have already decided that it is impossible and that they no longer want to pursue their goals.

So how many attempt to lose weight in January; and how many people will actually stick to their goals. Many people want to know the answer to this question because they want to know if people are still willing to work towards their goals. Well I am here to tell you that most people do not reach their goals because they are not willing to develop new habits.

Getting healthier and losing weight is all about developing new habits. Most people do not take the time to give themselves the ability to develop new habits. It is a proven fact that it takes about 21 – 30 days to develop a new habit. If people are just willing to stick to their goals for at least one month then it will become a routine and the old habits will be replaced by the new habits that they want to implement into their lives.
