We all know that there are certain foods to lose weight that we should begin adding to our daily diets. However many people fail to learn the importance of eating the proper foods to help them burn the calories and build their metabolism. Instead people try to use crash diets to lose weight only to be disappointed to learn that the weight that they do lose comes back or they put on more weight than they had before they began their crash diet.

1. Tuna: This food is filled with omega-6 fatty acids which are great for shedding the pounds. It will also provide you with the protein that you need to stay healthy.

2. Salads: These are great and can be made with all types of vegetables that will provide you with nutrients. As long as you prepare the salad like your grandmother would make it. Try eating a salad before your meals; this is a great way to prevent you from over eating at the main course.

3. Grapefruits: I absolutely love to eat a grapefruit in the mornings before I run out the door. It is perfect to add to your diet because it has slow burning carbs that will help increase your metabolism which we all know is perfect for burning fat.

4. Yogurt: As long as you stick with the low-carb or sugar-free; the you will realize that it is great for burning fat.
