Crash Diets Part One Why They Do Not Work
People who find themselves in a position that they have to lose weight for some important function such as a wedding, graduation, class reunion or any other type of event; find themselves trying to go on a crash diet. The truth is that you are going to crash and burn when you try to lose weight with a crash diet.
Medical research has now proven that the safe way to lose weight is to begin eating smaller meals and increase your meal servings to 6 meals per day. This means that the traditional way of eating should no longer be a factor in your life.
When you put your body through crash diets because you are trying to lose weight quickly; you are putting your body through a tremendous amount of torture. Your body is not getting the nutrients that is required to function normally and because you are not giving your body the calories that it requires it begins eating the muscle in your body. This in turn will cause your metabolism to go into reverse mode.
People tend to believe that crash diets work; because as you continue to starve yourself you may notice yourself losing some weight. Of course it will depend on how big you are and how much weight you are losing. The bad part is that the weight that you lose is not the type of weight that you want to lose and besides when you begin eating properly your body will begin storing more food as fat; because it does not know when it will get more food.
If you really want to lose weight; then it is highly recommended that you do it correctly. You want to avoid all the crash diets that can cause your body harm and cause you to have health problems later on down the road. Crash diets will not work and trust me if you do notice some of the weight come off; you can be certain that the weight will come back in a couple weeks.
